We are getting ready to leave for Chicago today. A friend and old classmate who I found on facebook is getting married tomorrow. We are the lucky ones to photograph her wedding which is set just south of Chicago about an hour or so. What is exciting about this wedding is not only have I not seen this classmate since I graduated, which seems like forever ago because it is, but she is getting married in a place that I know so well. Starved Rock State Park in Ottawa, Illinois. I cannot wait for this wedding and mini-reunion of sorts! I will post some images when I return! I hope you all have a great weekend!

Krista and Andrew

Our first wedding of the year just happened to be on the weekend of Valentines Day. Love was in the air all around. People you would meet in passing would be a little happier, a little shinier, a little kinder. It just happened that on Valentines Day, we had the opportunity to shoot Krista and Andrew. A couple that had been together almost ten years before tying the knot. Ten years?! Yes. Ten. They were an absolute joy to shoot. They had such respect and admiration for each other. This was a couple that you could truly tell were in it not for the wedding itself, but rather, for the marriage. So secure. So timeless. So wonderous. Below are a few shots taken from that day. The following photos are from this past weekend's shoot. Katelyn and Shaun, a couple who's getting married in August, were brave enough to get out in the cold and have fun with their shoot:) They were easy to photograph and were very open to ideas. I can't wait to do their wedding! 

My very first blogging and personal photo shoot of yours truly:)!

The following images were taken by a good friend of mine, Samantha Vanderlist-Shuttersam. I never had my own shoot taken. So the two of us got together and did a session for each other! It was great fun and very interesting being on the other end of the camera! I have a greater understanding of how my clients might feel, nervous, excited, I even got some new clothes! We had a blast!
